Halo™

Halo™ is fractional laser treatment at its finest. Another weapon against aging, Halo works to restore a youthful glow to your skin and improve the appearance of skin damage.

What is Halo?

Halo is a non-invasive laser treatment that safely and accurately rejuvenates your skin. The dual laser technology uses two laser wavelengths to synergistically repair and refresh your exterior. One laser targets the top layer, or epidermis, of your skin to reduce pigment and restore a radiant glow. The second laser targets the deeper layer, or dermis, reversing years of damage.

How much does a Halo treatment cost?

A Halo treatment with Dr. Tse at Optimal U starts at $1500 for a single session. A series of Halo treatments will be discounted from the single session price. Save with a Rejuvenate Package 3 BBL™ sessions + 1 Halo … $2300 (save $400!)

How Does Halo Work?

Halo works by activating your own healing abilities, causing your body to naturally refresh the treated areas. This regenerative process causes pigment from the damaged skin to rise to the surface and slough off. Halo is a fully customizable laser treatment that can address several common issues, including:
  • Sun damage and sun spots
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Scar revision
  • Enlarged pores
  • Discoloration
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Poor texture

Why Choose Halo?

What sets Halo apart from other fractional laser treatments is its dual wavelength technology that allows for precise, targeted treatment of your specific concerns. This means your Halo treatment can be adjusted to pinpoint the exact depth needed to restore the youthful, healthy appearance to your skin. Previous fractional laser treatments lacked this precision and were either unable to correct the problem or required unnecessary recovery time for even minor treatments. With Halo, we can completely tailor your treatment, based on your skin type and goals, in order to maximize your results while minimizing any downtime. We can perform a quick, lighter treatment to have your skin glowing and ready to show off the next day, or you can have a slightly more intense treatment with just a few days of downtime to completely rejuvenate your skin and have you looking your best.

How is Halo performed?

Halo laser treatments are performed in our Roseville, CA offices. After a personal consultation to determine the best approach based on your specific needs, we will apply a numbing cream prior to treatment to ensure the most comfortable experience. The Halo hand piece will then be focused over the targeted area and rolled in a uniform manner over the skin while being measured with motion tracking technology to ensure the area is treated evenly. The hybrid fractional laser’s healing energy is delivered into the skin until the system recognizes that the treatment is complete. The procedure typically last about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your unique goals.

Are Treatments with Halo Painful?

Halo offers powerful skin rejuvenation with as little discomfort as possible. The hand piece is equipped with an integrated air cooling system and constant temperature monitoring to ensure the most pleasant patient experience. For even further comfort, a numbing cream may be applied 30 minutes before the treatment.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

While you’ll see significant results from just one session with Halo, Dr. Tse may recommend a series of treatments for the best outcome. Some patients opt for either one or two more aggressive sessions, or multiple treatments that are less aggressive and achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time.

When Will I See Results?

You’ll see initial results between two and five days following your treatment with Halo, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement in pigmentation over the first two to three weeks, followed by months of dermal regeneration that gradually promotes healthier skin.

Is There Any Downtime?

There’s very little discomfort associated with this non-invasive procedure. Individual results may vary, but most patients experience little, if any, downtime and can usually get back to their normal routines within a day or two. There will be a bit of swelling and discoloration after the procedure, and you should keep your skin protected for the first 24 hours. You will notice a light bronzing, and your skin will start to peel after three to four days. Within a week, your skin will return to normal and you’ll see a refreshed, healthy glow.

How Long Do Results Last?

Your Halo results can last for several years. However, it is important to keep your skin protected at all times when you’re outdoors using a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen to shield your new, healthy skin. If you choose additional Halo treatments, you will continue to see an improvement in your results, providing you with even clearer, healthier-looking skin.

What Are the Side Effects of Halo?

There are minimal side effects associated with Halo. Following your treatment, you may notice some mild redness, swelling, and tenderness on your face for two to three days. Your skin may also appear dry or flaky for a few days as it begins the healing process.
